For years, I was addicted to Lancome’s mascaras. When the company I worked for had a buy-out, I also saw a decrease in my pay. Forced to find a cheaper alternative, I went through every bargain brand mascara at the drugstore, without finding anything comparable. I would often use mascaras once or twice, hate them, toss them in the garbage, and then go to the department store to use my credit card to purchase Lancome mascara.
What really finally changed me was when I became a vegetarian and became concerned with animal testing. Lancome tests on animals, so I had to break up with them. It broke my heart. Still living on a budget, I reapproached drugstore brands, and one of the few that doesn’t test on animals is Revlon. I bought Fabulash, and that was it for me.
Now, I’ve moved to another job where I’m back to my old standard of living, but I still buy Fabulash. It’s the old cliche: if it’s not broke. . .They don’t test on animals, they’re affordable, and my lashes look great.
