There is something about a black and white photo that draws you in. Mixing the right amount of other-worldly, classy, and timeless, a black and white photo (if done right) will never be boring to me. Now imagine the many fabulous B/W ads that professional photographers and gorgeous models have given us. I have found only 15 but I gather that there are more out there. The next time you see one, take the beauty in and be inspired.

Valentine’s Day is just right around the corner. While it may be natural for us to only talk about lovely celebrity couples being all loved up, I thought it would be great to throw breaking up into the mix as well. Please be informed that some of these are rumors at this point. Only time will tell if they really are true. Also, one hook up is meant to be a joke.

When I checked the celebrity blogs I stalk today, I was met with an extra ounce of sadness and tragedy. This started with a news-tweet from CNN about J.D. Salinger’s passing. Then I found stories on jailtime, show cancellations, grief, and others. I don’t mean to be a downer but sometimes, we need to read these to realize that life is short and we have to seize every opportunity and hold close those dear to us.

The Sundance Film Festival was kicked off last week. For those who are unaware, the Sundance Film Festival is held every January in Park City, Utah. This is the biggest independent film festival in the United States. It was founded in 1978, in the hopes of making Utah more attractive to filmmakers. One of its founders is the magnificent Robert Redford. During its first years, the festival was just a small event that attracted low-profile actors and small-budget films. These days, the Sundance Film Festival is one of Hollywood’s top January destinations. And thanks to the paparazzi and the fact that the festival has grown, we have these photos to enjoy.

Fame equals power. And celebrities who can command thousands of dollar for an appearance that can last only a minute or two, fame is even made more solid because of the money they can earn. It would be easy to hate them but most celebrities we have today are nice. Not only do they give to charity, they also use their status to convince us to help others. Because let’s face it, not everyone in the world today is lucky enough to have shelter and sit in front of the computer reading blogs without worrying about a single thing. With that said, I have made a little list of celebrities doing what they can to help others. May they inspire us to help those who are in need.
