I love the summer. I can’t wait to ditch the jumpers and jeans for summer dresses and sandals, and start feeling feminine again! Luckily, the shops have started to launch their summer ranges already, so I’m feeling much more summery and waiting for the sun to start shining so I can try out my favorites...I ’ve hunted through the ranges, and here are my top twelve!
1 Cut Away Cup Sundress
This sundress is bang on trend. The hook and eye detailing gives it a very stylish quirky look, and cut outs are huge right now! I love the pastel blue colouring, too, which means it’s perfect for shopping or the beach.
2 Eun Jeong Embellished Silk Dress
This white shaped mini is perfect for a fancy brunch or cocktail parties! The splash of faux pearls and shimmering ruffles gives it a glamorous twist, while the pure white colour keeps it muted for daytime wear. Teamed with nude tights and wedges, you’ll be the best dressed girl around!
3 Antik Batik Embroidered Dress
Looking for something a bit more everyday? This floaty trapeze dress is so flattering, and the sequin embellished pattern is gorgeous, too. Teamed with sandals and cute sunglasses, you’ll have the perfect boho summer look for any occasion!
4 Camilla and Marc Padded Dress
This dress combines summer's hottest trends to make it effortlessly stylish! It is nude colored, has padded shoulders, ribbon binding and is short enough to be perfect summer wear, too! Team with black heels for the perfect date dress.
5 Julien Macdonald Racerback Jersey Dress
Looking for something to show off that gorgeous tan? This white dress is perfect! It’s casual enough to team with anything, and versatile enough that you can wear it shopping or partying, or even as a beach dress, without having to change. Dress it up with some colored bangles or a brightly coloured sash and heels, or team with flipflops, sunglasses and a big bag for daytime chic!
6 Jonathan Saunders Paneled Silk Shift Dress
I love how versatile Jonathan Saunders dresses are! This dress features black silk with organza panelling which gives it a very evening look, but dressed down with hot sunglasses and a stylish boho bag it makes a divine summer dress too! Don’t dismiss structured dresses offhand, they can look amazing during the day, too!
7 Abercrombie Mckenna
I love the nautical theme, and this dress has it spot on! The gorgeous navy and white striped top looks amazing with the slightly puffball navy skirt, and if navy's not your colour, it comes in grey too! It’s perfect for lazy summer days, and can be easily dressed up with a pair of fabulous shoes.
8 Abercrombie Trisha
This dress is divine! I fell in love with it on first sight, and I can’t wait to wear it! The floral pattern is gorgeous, and the black sash adds just the right injection of attitude... it’s short, sexy and summery, and goes perfectly with my summer heels!
9 Abercrombie Stacey
Do you want something a little less girly? This striped dress from Abercrombie is short enough to look good and help you get a tan, but the structured, stripe pattern and jewelled bustline are perfect understated girliness for when you don’t want flowers and pink! It’s very flattering, too, and goes well with both flip flops and heels!
10 Abercrombie Arielle
I love the layers on this dress, they are perfect for distracting attention away from my stomach when I’m having a fat day, and teamed with the gorgeous pattern, it looks summery and flattering too! The crossed back gives it a modern look, and teamed with wedges and a brand new haircut, you are really going to look fabulous!
11 Red Valentino Ruffle Cotton Dress
For casual summer cool, nothing beats this stunning pastel pink cami dress! It’s classically chic, but the folded top and ruffle update it instantly. I’m teaming mine with woven wedges and a loose bun for an effortlessly summery look.
12 Single Silk Crepe Beaded Dress
Something a little looser for hot summer days and nights, this floaty silk dress is gorgeous and so flattering too! The cut out back and braided belt are divine, and I love the floaty sleeves! This is easily dressed down with metallic flip flops, or dressed up with silver heels and a shiny clutch. Keep the makeup natural and summery.
I’m in love with the new summer collections, especially Single’s dress! I can’t wait until it’s warm enough to tuck away my jumpers for cute summer styles instead. Have you got a favourite summer dress yet, or seen an amazing summer preview? Please let me know!
