Aquascutum from London Fashion Week
From the New York Fashion Week’s runways, we’re moving in to London – isn’t that fabulously exciting?!?
Anyway, the first London designer that we’ll feature here is Aquascutum. This is a British luxury brand which is famous for dressing up celebs like Pierce Brosnan, as well as models Gisele Bundchen and Jamie Dornan.
Michael Herz and Graeme Fidler are the current brains behind the label – and when these two guys put their heads together, the result is runway excellence!
The first salvo at the opening of the show was a collection of mostly white outfits. This all-white ensemble is interesting because of the different sleeve lengths with the belted waist, creating a unique silhouette. Those pair of pants are simply gorgeous!

Ralph Lauren Collection: Top 20 Picks
Stylishly dressing the Olympic team is just one of the many accomplishments of designer Ralph Lauren. With his vast experience in the fashion industry – there’s no telling where he’ll next dig his inspiration for his succeeding collections.
But for his NY Fashion Week show, Ralph Lauren has taken on a fresh look at some of his biggest hits. As Nicole Phelps of Style.com has succinctly put it:
Down came last season’s gold antlers and up went a Moroccan lamp: Ralph Lauren looked to North Africa for Spring. …Kudos to Lauren for addressing the diversity issue on the runways, and for a collection well done.

This is the opening piece of the collection which is a really interesting ensemble. First, there’s the khaki camp shirt with one sleeve ripped at the shoulder. It was matched with gold harem pants, a couple of low-slung belts, a messenger bag and Indiana Jones hat.

Zac Posen New York Fashion Week – There Can’t be too Much Scene!

Zac Posen’s barely 30 – but he’s already a reflection of the fashion statement that is the younger generation Hollywood.
For his Spring 2009 Collection at the New York Fashion Week – NY Fashion’s description of the ‘look’ that Zac Posen has perfectly described the show:
Draped, anatomically seamed construction. Sweeping strapless evening dresses, ruffled fishtail mermaid gowns and bias-cut cocktail dresses in shades of taupe, bronze and teal.
His clothes are more than trendy – they’re everything that women of all ages can ask for.
As the designer himself said, the clothes are meant for the girl “who goes to the country club and listens to her Bow Wow Wow.” Ain’t that something?

New York Fashion described the Marc Jacobs look as: bright colors, oversize prints, layered looks, empire lines, rugby stripes, oversize bows and buttons, and pretty, prom-like party dresses – you get the idea!

Carolina’s collection was so feminine, so romantic and so inspiring, it felt like people stopped breathing when the show started! The beautiful, beautiful colors – reds, blues, yellows, whites, and the ruffles, the ruffles everywhere… There are no words, girls, you’ve GOT to see it yourself! But actually, this quote of the fabulous Kpriss from Stylefrizz.com does describe it:

Posh’s Infamous Bob is Gone!
I almost want to utter a prayer for the death of Victoria Beckham’s sleek, famous, Posh bob or “Pob” that she has constantly been sporting for all the paparazzi to see.
At the Mercedez-Benz Fashion Week in New York where Marc Jacobs‘ Spring’09 collection was presented, Mrs. Beckham was photographed with JLo minus her dark brown Pob.
