3. Get Your Drink on...

Get Your Drink on... She looks upset and lost while her new husband is in a drunken sleep. If you check out the video session it's at this point where she has the gun in her hand and puts it to his head! I understand the twisted outlook on weddings and how the pressure of the industry and family members can get to you, but would you look back at these photos and smile?

2. Show Some Skin...

Show Some Skin... Do they look like a real couple or do they look like models promoting the photographer's talent? Here the bride looks frightened and afraid of her husband who is demanding her to take off her wedding dress. That may be part of the story behind the photo, but where is the passion and the love?

1. Burn Baby Burn...

Burn Baby Burn... After all the drinking, smoking, trashing, and gunslinging it's finally time to burn her dress! It's a bold statement that says to me that they want to move on from the pressures of planning a wedding to having a rocking marriage. In the end they are walking away from the mess of it all holding hands, they are walking** away **together. Could you burn your wedding dress or would you donate or sell it?

Ouch! Can't believe they burnt that dress. I do love that last picture though. I don't think I could do it either. I'm a big hoarder of things that remind me of the past...movie tickets, college id card, bookmarks, old love letters, even my ex bf's nail and hair...lol... I do love the shoot for it's artsy photography value. And like you said, it's who they are! Great find :)

Hmmm I am going to do a prenuptial shoot (not mine; i'm only shooting the photos) soon and I will see if the couple will agree to this. I am guessing NO but it can't hurt to think outside the box, right? :D

Mims, Great idea and wonderful thing to do! Thoso photos will remain with you a life time. Not that the normal wedding pictures won't, cause they're the most precious, but forgetting that beautiful yet really stressful day, you get a chance to get liberal with your partner and express your self in them. It's what I dream of too! :)

I trashed my dress, but not in the same way. My husband and I went with our photographer to Charleston, SC and had 2 photo shoots. One at Middleton Place Plantation and one at Sullivan's Island on the beach. It was so much fun. Very different from our wedding day when I had so much to think about and there was so much going on. These pictures were awesome and we both had such a good time. It was great. After we had taken tons of photos we ran into the ocean holding hands for the final ones. These photos are my absolute favorite!!!

I really enjoyed this post. I love these photos - but mostly on an artistic level. I dream of trashing my dress but I'm not sure I could take some of these pictures - I'm not sure I'm THAT gutsy! But thanks for bringing them to my attention!

Hi SG, I think it's a new generation of brides we are seeing where anything goes. Burn your dress, paint your dress, get wet in your dress, etc. We all dream that we can pass down our gowns, but for the most part that doesn't happen. It's a very special moment when it does. Were you able to pass down your wedding gown?
