Simple nail polish was quite a cool beauty trick many, many years ago. However, today, regularly painted nails are really nothing special and we all seek different ways to make them more sparkly, noticeable and glitzy. The only problem is that these “procedures” often require some unknown skill which the ones that pose it charge for quite brutally. That’s why it might not be a bad idea to check out these simple, very doable tutorials and try to become your own nail artist.

Black, Silver and Pink Nails

This girl has really amazing nails! I’ve been watching her channel for quite some time now and I just can’t believe how long and gorgeous they are! Anyways, I’ve picked this look because I’m a real sucker for black rhinestones. I don’t really know why is that so, I guess it’s because they do add a bit of glitz to the nails without shining too much or making you feel like a Christmas tree. Do watch the video even if you don’t like the excessive embellishments because this girl gives tips on how to simplify and modify the look to make it more wearable, so to speak.

Neon Orange and Silver Nail Art

This nail art design will probably require some patience but I’m definitely going to give it a shot. My hands are shaking quite a bit these days and I’m guessing it’s because I haven’t been able to eat and get the most out of the holiday feasts due to the stomach flu I’ve managed to pick up somewhere. So, I’m kind of prepared to the fact that I probably won’t be able to do everything perfect in the first attempt but never mind. Now, if you like the glitters, you can just do everything “by the book” but, if you don’t, I’m suggesting you just skip the last part… at least that’s what I’m planning to do.

Brown and Gold Foil Nail Art

Now, don’t worry, not all my nail art suggestions come from this channel although, I guess they could because this lady is just amazing! The nail art she came up with here is great but that’s not the only reason why I’ve picked this tutorial. What I actually wanted is to show you some creative ways to use your nail foils and maybe motivate you to experiment a bit and put all those nail foil leftovers into a good use.

Marble Nail Art

I love, love, love marble designs!! They are so fun and easy to do, plus, you always get a cool shape you didn’t expect. Now, don’t worry if you have never tried this technique before, the skill has nothing to do with it. You just take a glass, fill it up with some water, glob your favorite colors and drag over them a toothpick until you see a nice shape coming out. This is one messy technique, I’ll tell you that! So, make sure you have enough of nail polish remover and definitely don’t forget to coat the finger with some duct tape because, if you don’t, you’ll probably spend an hour trying to get the nail polish out of your hands.

Rockstar Nails

The first thing I thought when I saw this was “Gosh! There’s no way I’ll ever be able to do something like this!” Well, I guess that’s what the tutorials are for – to demystify the whole process and make it doable. This involves a lot of steps but it definitely isn’t as hard as I thought it would be. All you have to buy is this special nail polish pen, the rest is just pure logic. If you do have nail art nail polishes and dotting tools just go ahead and use those and, if you don’t, no need to worry; neither do I. I’ve used an old eyeliner wand to make those precise lines and the back of my tweezers for dots.

Strawberry Nails

LOL! Isn’t this just the cutest design you’ve ever seen? I’m doing this tonight, for sure! I know it’s not something you’d expect to see on a 24-year old, especially not in January but, hey, even better! I like crazy nail designs and, since my nails are very short right now I’m all like, “Great, let’s overcompensate!” Next time I sit down to write something for you girls have in mind that it’s going to be done with the help of my 10 little strawberries!

3D Flowers Nail Art

This is something you can consider suggesting to your manicurist the next time your acrylic or UV gel coated nails need a retouch. It doesn’t say anywhere but I also don’t see a lamp being used so I’d say this is acrylic… although, the video isn’t over so it might be a 3D gel too . Acrylic is actually quite easy to work with so you can even do this at home – acrylic powder, bonding liquid and a special brush are pretty much all you need.

Black Lace Nails

And, one video for all of you with wonderful, long natural nails. Now, most people think that, in order to have lace on your nails, you need to coat them with gel or acrylic. I’d say that’s definitely wrong although lace and pretty much all of the decorations you want to put last much longer if they are covered with a layer of gel. So, here, this video shows how to apply lace and do this gorgeous, sexy nail art at home, without any gels, lamps and all that expensive hocus pocus.

So, you know how they say on YouTube – comment, subscribe, share. LOL! Let me know how you like these tutorials and definitely share some of your fav ones. If you have them, of course.

I love them!! Good job:)

Agreed. I don't like it. There are some interesting techniques though.

Tacky nails but interesting ways to do.
