Having a sore throat can be harsh. I cannot think of anyone who actually enjoys it! If they do, then they are not in their right mind. Sure, it may just be a sore throat, but nonetheless, it still brings you down and makes you feel horrible. I recently dealt with a sore throat and actually had one when I was thinking of some blog ideas and that is what led me to this blog. Below, I am going to give you 8 remedies to ease a sore throat…

Hot honey and lemon will help that sore throat. Try consuming this and see just how much better your throat feels. Do this a couple times each day and before you know it, you will feel better.

Who would have ever thought that cayenne pepper would be good for a sore throat? It will make you sweat, so be ready for it! When you make some honey and lemon water, you should sprinkle some cayenne pepper on the top of it.

Have you ever heard of ginger cubes? They are good to suck on when you have a sore throat. I have found them in the Asian store that we have in town.

Take a red onion and boil it in honey and cloves until it is tender. Every hour, take a spoonful of it. This will help soothe your sore throat. One of my friends told me about this one, but I never got to try it. Have any of you by chance, tried it out?

When I told my friend that I had a sore throat last week, she sent me an e-mail explaining that adding some apple cider vinegar in juice would help it. I could only imagine how that would taste, but they say that the things that are the best for you will taste the worse.

When you have a sore throat or cold, stay away from dairy. This is because it is a phlegm producer. This means stay away from milk, eggs or any other dairy product.

If you are going to go to the store and get some cough drops, then make sure you get the type that have honey in them. Also, make sure you stay away from sugars as this will agitate the throat even more.

One of my all time favorites involves gargling with warm salt water. As a child, I was always told to do this when I had a sore throat. It works! Surely, you have some salt around your house, so try it out the next time you have a sore throat.

I have also heard of gargling with mouth wash, which helps kill the germs. I do this anyways, but if you don’t, then you should start doing it. Also, drinking warm chicken broth helps out. So, do you have any other remedies for a sore throat that you would like to tell us about?
