Flowers in a Pot-measuring Spoons

Flowers in a Pot-measuring Spoons Price: $24.99 at modcloth.com
I’m putting this one first because it is by far the best combination of art and usefulness I’ve ever seen. It enables us to measure the ingredients precisely and make wonderful, great-tasting things and it turns into a sweet, original decoration when we have no time for cooking and baking.

Squirrel in a Whisk

Squirrel in a Whisk Price: $9.99 at modcloth.com
Prefect addition to your set of kitchen utensils! These don’t only get the job done, they also look great and decorate the kitchen when hanged above the kitchen counter.

Colorful Spice Rack

Color-coordinate your spices and easily spot the one you need through the transparent heart shaped window. This little thingy is useful, decorative and fits any kitchen style or color.

Little Piggy Steamer Lid

Little Piggy Steamer Lid Price: $13.99 at modcloth.com
This little piggy is incredibly practical, fits every dish and can be used in the microwave or on the stove! The hot vapors go out through the nose so there would be no annoying clapping or over-spilling. Looks adorable and serves its purpose – it’s definitely a keeper!

Flower-power Price: $14.99 at modcloth.com
I hate washing the dishes by hand but I can totally see myself doing that with this fun brush and surprisingly, it doesn’t seem so bad. One thing worries me though. I know this is supposed to be one of those lovely kitchen utensils that are both useful and decorative but I just wouldn’t have the heart to ruin it by actually washing the dishes with it. Would you?

Peas in a Pod

Peas in a Pod Price: $21.99 at modcloth.com
Cute, cute, cute! These ceramic salt and pepper shakers make a perfect gift. Now, I leave it on you to choose a person that will be receiving them. And P.S – choosing yourself as a gift receiver is allowed too (*wink).

Retro Recipe Box

Retro Recipe Box Price: $16.99 at modcloth.com
This practical metal box will make sure you have all of your favorite recipes close by. It will protect them from damages, help you get organized and it will look great on your kitchen counter even if you have a modern-style kitchen. You know why? Because even the most hi-tech, monochrome kitchens could use a colorful decoration or two to prove that there are people living, eating and preparing their food in there.

Penguin-shaped Oven Mittens

Penguin-shaped Oven Mittens Price: $14.99 at modcloth.com
These polar buddies can turn a simple thing like taking the meat loaf out of the oven into a real hand puppet show. Your kids will love them! If I ever walk into somebody’s kitchen and see these hanging somewhere. I’ll definitely know I’m in a cozy, comfortable, friendly place with fun-loving people as my hosts.

Paris-themed Magnets

Paris-themed Magnets Price: $11.99 at modcloth.com
But, let’s not forget the most important part of every kitchen – the almighty fridge! I love to collect different magnets and they all have their special place on my fridge. Everywhere I go, whatever country I visit, I always come back with a nice little souvenir for my little frigsy-migsy. I haven’t been to Paris thought, so I could sure use a set like this.

Lovely Multipurpose Jar

Lovely Multipurpose Jar Price: $16.99 at modcloth.com
Ideal for keeping sugar, flour, coffee, tea or anything else you use very often. I especially like these retro motives, they remind me of my grandma’s kitchen… something good was always cooking in there!

Do you consider your kitchen a place worth decorating and, if you do, tell me what decorations you prefer. Do you like modern, abstract pieces or you would rather go for cute, animal and food shaped decorations? And, please, do let me know what do you think about these items from my list.
