7 Tips on Picking The Right Lipstick for Different Lip Shapes …

By Some time ago

5. If you are a teenager …

Colors to Try: Pink, peach, clear
Colors to Avoid: Anything too dark

Looking good is important when you’re a teenager, but it can be hard to get it right. To start with, avoid lip liner if you can. Instead, invest in a lipstick that comes with a lip liner, as these are sure to match up. Stick to peach for school days, and pink for casual. Find a colour that suits you, and that you love, and wear it with a smile!

Lipsticks to Try …

  1. Lancome Juicy Lips Jelly – Ultra Shiny Lip Gloss – $18
  2. Yves Saint Lauren Pure Lip Gloss in Pure Coral – $29
  3. Shu Uemura Red Unlimited Lipstick in Light Neutral Pink – $23
  4. Dior Sparkle Shine – $26

6. If you are in your 20’s …

Colors to Try: Gold, fuchsia, berry, bright red
Colors to Avoid: N/A

Warm colours will show your youth, so make the most of it! Choose sophisticated golden tones for work and brighter fuchsia for night times. My friends find that mattes and creams look the best, and tend to last longer too. Try topping up the colour with a little glitter for instant sex appeal after work. And don’t be worried to try the red sticks, when done right it can really enhance your look. Though it does take a little practice, achieving the perfect red lips is really not too hard.

So now you know what will suit you, go and invest in some new shades! Test lip liners and colours together to check both that they compliment each other and that they blend well.

Then, wear your new colour with pride! Have you got a favorite lip colour? Please let me know!

      Swati,

The best lipstick shade for anyone is usually one or two shades darker than their natural lip color. Bright reds are off for sure but you can try a darker shade of red. ... See more I also think plums and browns would look good. As for your upper lip, I’m not sure how you could cover it up but I could offer suggestions on reducing the darkness. Try almond oil on your upper lips. Lemon juice mixed with honey should also work on regular application. Also beetroot juice. Most importantly use lipsticks that are of good quality… Hope that helped :)
