My friends find that mattes and creams look the best, and tend to last longer too. Try topping up the colour with a little glitter for instant sex appeal after work. And don’t be worried to try the red sticks, when done right it can really enhance your look. Though it does take a little practice, achieving the perfect red lips is really not too hard.

The best lipstick shade for anyone is usually one or two shades darker than their natural lip color. Bright reds are off for sure but you can try a darker shade of red. ... See more I also think plums and browns would look good. As for your upper lip, I’m not sure how you could cover it up but I could offer suggestions on reducing the darkness. Try almond oil on your upper lips. Lemon juice mixed with honey should also work on regular application. Also beetroot juice. Most importantly use lipsticks that are of good quality… Hope that helped :)
