We’re all rushed, all day, every day. By the end of the day, most of us look back and wonder why we didn’t get everything done. Chances are, we just have too much to do! But no matter how busy we are, there are a few things we must make time for each day… here’s my list of the ten things you really should do, every single day…

Young-looking, healthy skin is skin that’s been protected from the sun and other environmental damage. Every morning, make sure to slather on a good moisturizer with SPF built-in. If you spend a lot of time outside, you ought to consider a sunscreen for the ultimate protection too.

It may seem silly to mention this, but I actually do know a few people who don’t brush and floss every day! Once your milk teeth are gone, your adult teeth are the last teeth you’ll have, so you need to take care of them! And besides, who wants to kiss someone, or even sit close to someone, who hasn’t brushed their teeth all day...not to mention thebad breath? Ick!

We all know we’re supposed to drink up to 64 ounces of water every day, so why don’t we do it? Keeping hydrated will make us healthier and prettier, so make sure to drink as much water as you can stand (up to 64 ounces) every single day. If it can make you look and feel better, why not?

For years, we’ve also known we ought to be eating five servings of fresh fruits and vegetables every day, but again, most of us are lucky if we get one or two. There are a lot of excuses, but none of them are good ones, so make sure to make your mother proud and eat five servings of fruits and veggies every day! Don't forget to put them on your nextgrocery list.

Studies have shown that people who are grateful, and who actually verbalize their appreciation with a simple “thank you” live longer, happier, more fulfilling lives. Besides that, it’s polite and kind to thank people when they have done you a kindness. On a much grander scale, think of all in your life you have to be thankful for...life is about thesimple pleasuresafterall!

Five minutes. That’s really all you need. Take five simple minutes each day just for yourself. Go hide somewhere quiet, shut off your cell phone, and relax for just five minutes. Reflect. Breathe. Unwind a little. Close your eyes if you can. Then, when you’ve had a few moments of calm, you can get back to the grind with renewed energy, a better attitude and no stress.

I know it’s difficult to be motivated enough to exercise every day, but it doesn’t have to be a big deal. There are a lot of ways to squeeze in exercise every day without going to the gym or even doing a work-out DVD when you get home. Take the stairs instead of the elevator at work. Park as far away as you can instead of trying to find a closer parking spot. You’ll be surprised how many calories you can burn by doing simple things like this, and how easy it can be to squeeze a little exercise into every day! You’ll be thrilled with the extra energy…

If you have children, pick a good children's book and make time to read to them before bed each night. Spend 20 minutes reading, and let them read to you a little if they can. Don’t just rush through it, either. Make it an experience, a tradition your kids look forward to. Snuggle in, look at the pictures, savor the story.

Take a few minutes at the end of each day to plan ahead for the next day. Don’t stress, just plan a little. What will you cook for dinner? What will you wear? Do you have any errands to run? Make sure you have everything you need so you can sleep with an easy mind and possibly end up withfree timethe next day .

It only takes a few minutes to make a phone call and check in with the one person you’re closest to (besides your sweetie!). Take those few minutes every day just to say hi and let them know you’re thinking of them. If you both have time, you can chat for a bit, but it’s really important to touch base, even if you can’t talk for long. It'll help you unwind and generally make yourlife happier.
There is only so much time in a day, and I know sometimes it seems like we just need another hour, maybe two… but these are things we should always make time for, every day! What do you make it a point to make time for each day? Why? Please let me know!
