As a teenager, Angelina became depressed when she could not get modeling assignments. At the peak of her depression she started to cut herself with sharp objects. As she herself says, “For some reason, the ritual of having cut myself and feeling the pain, maybe feeling alive, feeling some kind of release, it was somehow therapeutic to me.”
When she was just 14, Angelina who was attending classes in theatre, dropped out and wanted to become, no not an actress, but a funeral director!
Angelina’s generosity with her time, for the people and causes she cares for is legendary and started early. She acted in five of her brother’s student films, made while he was studying Cinematic Art.

Angelina and third husband Brad Pitt’s daughter Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt was born in Swakopmund, Namibia and has a Namibian passport.
When Shiloh was born, the sale of the total rights of her newborn photographs earned up to $10 million worldwide. Angelina and Pitt donated all the profits to an undisclosed charity.
Madame Tussauds has created a wax figure of two-month-old Shiloh. It is the first infant re-created in wax by Madame Tussauds.
And finally, Angelina has 13 known tattoos on her body. Two among them are the Tennessee Williams quote "A prayer for the wild at heart, kept in cages" which she got together with her mother and four sets of geographical coordinates on her upper left arm which are indicative of the birthplaces of her children.
