9 Sexy Fashion Trends ...

With fashions and trends changing so often, it’s hard to keep up. Surprisingly, however, a lot of new trends are fast on their way to becoming staples -- at least for a couple of seasons. Here are nine sexy fashion trends -- and some tips for when and how to wear them!

1. Androgyny

Androgyny Price: $410.00 at net-a-porter.com
This is by far my favorite trend. It consists of sexy feminine ties (I have quite the collection, thank you), tailored jackets, pinstripes, Oxford shorts, and things of that nature. Forget your boyfriend jeans, just raid your boyfriend’s closet. Or your husband’s, father’s, or brother’s. I’ve always thought guys sometimes have it better on the fashion front anyhow, so why shouldn’t we borrow a bit?

2. Red Lips

Red Lips Price: $30.00 at sephora.com
Now, right up front I have to say that not everyone can carry off this look. Sometimes, vibrant red just won’t look good with your coloring or complexion, and of course a sexy red lip only works during certain occasions, certain times of the day, and with certain outfits. Still, there’s such a huge spectrum of red now, just about anyone can find a shade that works -- just be careful when and wear you where it!

3. Camel

Camel Price: $200.00 at net-a-porter.com
A new, fast favorite neutral, you’d be surprised at how sexy camel can be. A coat, a skirt, a sweater: choose the right item and pair it with the right accessories, and you’ll be a stunner in this color. It is soft, pretty, and feminine, and it will look great this fall and winter.

4. Knee High Boots

Knee High Boots Price: $1,795.00 at net-a-porter.com
Again, you have to be careful with this trend. Needless to say, knee high boots with a crop top and a micro mini skirt just is not going to work. But knee highs with a cute pencil skirt and a sweater will be too hot for words. Girl, you’ll leave smoke in your wake!

Discover the mystique and charm of historical garments with our carefully curated inspiration from the medieval era. If you're seeking authenticity for a theme party or costume event, here are some truly renaissance outfit ideas that will transport you back in time. Evoke the spirit of grand festivities with fashion that celebrates tradition and craftsmanship. Embrace a different period, dress up and have fun!

5. Monochrome

Monochrome Price: $29.50 at oldnavy.gap.com
Black and white will always be a staple, and it is still in vogue. A simple black and white print or pairing is sexier than you might imagine. It is classic and elegant, and it is perfect for channeling an Audrey Hepburn kind of sex appeal... and you can always add a splash of color with it...

6. Purple Eye Shadow

Purple Eye Shadow Price: $19.00 at sephora.com
This is yet another trend you want to be careful when wearing. I love shades of purple but when wearing this kind of eye shadow, it can go downhill very fast. If you aren’t careful, you can end up looking like a 1980's transplant. Done the right way, however, you will absolutely smolder.

7. Lace

Lace Price: $230.00 at net-a-porter.com
Lace is making a big comeback this season. Now, it goes without saying that you want to be tasteful. You also do not want anything too frilly or full of ruffles. We’re not talking about tea parties with the queen or anything, just a touch of pretty femininity.

8. Draping

Draping Price: $63.00 at net-a-porter.com
A great silhouette is more than just sexy, it is classic. You’ll be able to achieve this look with many of the cardigans available today. Just be sure to pair it with the right pieces and don’t wear it with anything too baggy, otherwise it can start getting a little too voluminous.

9. Skinny Jeans

Skinny Jeans Price: $24.80 at forever21.com
Skinny jeans don’t appear to be going anywhere and they can be super sexy. Some people aren’t really comfortable wearing them, but the good news is that there are now all kinds of skinny jeans -- even designs that look good on fuller figured or shorter girls.

These are just some of the trends I find sexy. Whether I wear all of them or not, they all get props from me. Am I missing anything? What makes you feel sexy?
