8 Red Dresses That Are Right on Trend ...

By Kati

Did you watch the celeb-filled charity gala last week? I’ve never seen so many red dresses! Everyone from Jessica Simpson to Brooke Vincent was being a Scarlet lady, and its certain to be a huge trend through Spring and Summer. There were eight styles that were huge, though, and here are my top high street alternatives...

1 Ponti-Roma Tailored Pencil Dress

Pencil dresses were huge, and this one is brilliant! It’s made in the style of a very similar one worn by Victoria Beckham. From the slit top to the tight fitting shape, it is amazingly flattering and only needs red heels to finish it off... or to be a bit different, how about a thick black belt and matching shoes?

2 Asos Origami Fold over Dress

This orange-red really makes some skin tones glow, and this style was massive. The folded top is perfect for flattering smaller busts, and the nipped in waist gives a gorgeous hourglass figure which will look divine! Buy a big animal pendant that hangs just over the top of the dress, and team with silver heels. You’ll be full of confidence!

3 Ruched Sheer Panel Dress

This dress is bang on trend, with the sheer bust panel fitting in perfectly with the risqué lingerie trend and the nipped in waist and ruched panelling giving you a body to die for. The colour looks great against pale or tanned skin, and adding black accessories finishes the look. Or if you are feeling really brave, try gold... it sounds odd, but gold really makes this colour pop!

4 One Shoulder Frill Dress

This tight fitting one shoulder dress is almost identical to the best dresses at the gala and on the catwalk, and the mix of red and hot pink give it a unique look! I love the huge frill detailing, and the black ribbon shoulder strap... Team with a choker and matching shoes, and let the dress do the talking. Just remember to make sure your underwear isn’t visible!

5 Rare Polka Dot Body Con Dress

Inspired by the very on trend retro look, this dress is simply stunning! From the red and white colour scheme to the polka dots and the shaped bust, it really is gorgeous, and will make you look and feel as good as Marilyn Monroe. Go all out and team this with voluptuous hair and gorgeous high heels.

6 Sleeveless Shoulder Pad Dress

This gorgeous dress is sexy without flaunting anything, and everyone from Jessica Simpson to Holly Willoughby has been spotted in it! It’s fitted style makes the most of your body and curves, but it keeps it’s dignity, and looks equally good with sky high heels and bare legs, or black tights. Want a different look? Try a white belt and black shoes!

7 Strapless Tulip Dress

Strapless Tulip DressPrice: $128 at asos.com
This French Connection strapless dress is one of the most gorgeous strapless dresses I’ve seen! The colour is gorgeous, and the length is just right to look elegant yet sexy. Pick a delicate necklace or choker to show off, and some delicate bangles too. Then find some gorgeous shoes, and you’ll be dressed to kill!

8 Karen Miller Bubble Dress

This gorgeous silky dress looks divine from the front, and certainly ticks all the boxes! It’s very flattering, and is sure to make you look absolutely stunning. It’s the back that really sets it apart, though, with ruffles, layers, bows and a low back... It’s the perfect subtle look-at-me dress!

Whatever your favourite style, grab your dress now, and start accessorizing it! It’ll be the hottest thing to wear at the numerous Spring/Summer parties, and there is something about being a Scarlet lady that oozes confidence and sexiness, and really makes you have a good time!
