I have decided to give you 7 celebrity real names that’ll surprise you…It’s time to see that not all celebrities were blessed with that perfect name!

Do you really think his name is “50 cent?” His real name is Curtis Jackson. Curtis Jackson isn’t really that bad of a name, is it? I don’t know if I could get used to referring to him under this name though.

This one is a bit surprising, because I never thought of her as being a “cook.” Her birth name is Alicia Augello Cook. I think the name has a ring to it. I like her middle name. What do you think?

Surely, you know Axl Rose. I mean, who here hasn’t heard of him? Okay, for those of you who do not know, he is the lead vocalist of Guns ‘N Roses. His real name is William Bailey. For some, that’s a surprise, but if you’re fans, you probably already knew his real birth name.

I had to add this one in. Her real birth name was Vickie Lynn Hogan. I think that name actually had a ring to it. Vickie was a good name for her.

I like a couple of Elton John’s songs, but I wouldn’t call myself a big fan of his. His real name is Reginald Kenneth Dwight. Who would have ever thought this was his name? He kind of looks like a Reginald, doesn’t he?

Since I am a big fan of him, I already knew this, but when I first learned his real name, I laughed a bit. His birth name is: Marshall Bruce Mathers III. He seems a bit like a Marshall, doesn’t he? It shouldn’t surprise you, because he mentions Marshall in some of his songs.

Do you go gaga for Lady Gaga? What about her real name? You don’t know her real name? Come to think of it, I never thought about looking up her real name until a week ago and then I was surprised to see it. Her real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta. Wow!
See, these celebrities weren’t naturally blessed with good names! Many of them picked other names. Were they too embarrassed to use their real name? Who knows, but I think they picked some pretty good names out. Do you have any real celebrity names you could share with us? I have many more, maybe I will continue my list later.

Sheila: Wow really?! That's Elton John's real name? I don't think they're necessarily embarrassed by their original names. I guess the crazier the name, the more popular you are when it comes to show business. :D
Josie: In my opinion, this would have been more interessting if you had only chosen people with names that sound real like Alicia Keys. That 50 Cent and Lady Gaga aren’t real birth names is kind of obvious, isn’t.
