I told you, video game is not an addiction. If it has ruined your relationship, then perhaps that relationship was not meant to be in the first place. Perhaps that is what the guy or girl wanted – to get away from you, so they chose to escape and play game all the time. Simply because they knew you would not like it. If your guy or girl likes to play video games, then you shouldn’t try to control this. If it has become an obsession, then yes, you should talk to them about it. If they do not improve, then like I said, it’s their escape from you. It’s not an addiction, but it can be an obsession. I am going to give you 7 signs of video game obsession.

Of course, your spouse could just be losing his or her mind. They could just be jealous that you play video games instead of watching a movie or just sitting there with them. However, if this sign comes up with some or all of the other signs I have listed, then you may have a video game obsession.

Those are 7 signs of video game obsession. Take note that when one has a video game obsession, it does not make them a bad person. Sometimes, people use games to get away from the person they are married to, because there is a problem in the marriage outside of video games. Sometimes, people do it on purpose as they are using it for an escape, which I have to admit, it is better than drugs. Then, you have others who have the obsession just for the heck of it. And Lisa made a typo, I do not support video game addiction. I support that video game addiction is a mental-based addiction. That you are used to the idea of physical-based addiction is why you do not accept the concept. That and you have a personal connection to video games, when people have a personal connection they usually have a strong resistance to a negative image. You do not want to accept that something you like and people who you see as similar to yourself can be associated with the negative social image of addiction. It is a normal response and one that can be found in any kind of social group. Love that you bring something that can be debated here. It's not that all that can be addictING Melanie, it's that there is such thing as an addictION to it. Please don't brush off the distinction.

When video games matter more than your sex life with your partner, there's a real problem. LOL. As funny as it sounds, its true. Your partner is your PARTNER. She's your other half. Without you minding her, she's going to feel alone. Video games are fun to play. It's intense, it's killing, and it's hooking. However, is it 100x better than life? Hell no. Your life is like a big video game itself where all of us are the main characters. What we do NOW is going to be a part of the end result of our lives. So if you want to level up in life, start now.

Don't be silly Melanie, I don't hate video games. I play several, right now it's 'Oblivion' I borrowed from my sister. Just because I strongly believe in video game addiction doesn't mean I hate video games in general. But whatever, pity you don't like people with opposing views. Ta-tah.
