I’ll be the first to admit it: I’m worried about ageing. I’m almost forty, and I find myself constantly on the look-out for wrinkles and fine lines, especially around my eyes. I’m always willing to try something new, and when I saw this on a shelf a few months ago, I gave it a go.

The bottle promises that the Retinol-enriched carrot oil and cucumber will cool and soothe tired-looking, puffy eyes, which has been something of a problem for me for about five years. It also says it will diminish the appearance of crow’s feet and other eye-area circles and wrinkles if you use it over time, so I was excited to try it. I set aside my Estee Lauder eye cream, and used this after my morning wash. I pumped a tiny amount onto my finger and rubbed it gently under and around my eyes. It soaked in immediately, without a greasy feeling, and instantly I felt a little cooling tingle. I used it every morning for six weeks, and noticed a great improvement in the light under-eye wrinkles, and a little improvement in my (so far) slight crow’s feet. The cucumber does soothe and cool, which I think will be fantastic in the summer months. Once I apply the gel, I wait for a few minutes before applying my eye make-up, but it’s never heavy or greasy — my make-up just glides right on. I tend to use it in the mornings only, although I have used it before an evening out and it’s quite a little pick-me-up. Overall, I highly recommend it to anyone who’s got a few eye-area wrinkles starting, and wants to stop them in their tracks. I can’t wait to use it this summer!
