Although, sports dramas are not my favorite genre, I couldn't help but be moved by Sandra Bullock's powerful performance in The Blind Side. And I wasn't the least bit surprised when Sandra took home the Oscar for the Best Actress last night...
The Blind Side tells the true story of Michael Oher, a homeless African- American teenager who is taken in by Leigh Anne Tuohy (played by Bullock) and her family. As the story progresses, Oher faces new challenges and hardships that he overcomes with the help of the generous and giving Leigh Anne to become an All-American offensive left tackle. All in all it is an inspiring, feel good tale of love and human victory. Ironically, Sandra also won the Golden Rasberry for the Worst Actress for her perfromance in All About Steve. Who cares as long as you take home an Oscar with it!
She Says: Loved her in the movie! Loved her acceptance speech! Most of all loved her divine Marchesa gown!
He Says: Though she isn't really my favorite actress, there's just something about Sandra Bullock. I always enjoy her movies and am loving her comeback - with the Proposal and then this movie! Glad she now has an Oscar to her name.
If you haven't seen the movie, do watch it when you get the chance. I've gotta admit a part of me was also rooting for Carrie Muligan. Who was your personal pick for the winner?
