How to Manage Stress

Mabelle

When you are in the middle of a busy day at work, do you often find yourself clutching your forehead because you feel a headache coming? Do you feel as if your brain would explode sometimes because of all the worries that you have, be it at work, at home or with your personal life? For every person’s life, there will come a point when stress seems too much to bear and there will be physical and emotional manifestations. In order for you to better manage stress, here are a few things that you can do.

First, no matter how busy your workday is, set aside about 15 to 20 minutes of some β€˜alone time’ for yourself. You can use this to sit quietly, breathe deeply and just relieve yourself of the stress caused by the outside world. Second, if you find that talking with a friend or a close family member relaxes you, do it more often. Sometimes, the mere thought of having someone listening to your problems can ease much of the burden that you are placing on yourself. Third, eat better, exercise more and learn how to take things more slowly. Finally, always look at the positive side of things and do not let the stress of everyday life take its toll on you.
