There may be some die-hard juicers here who use theirs every day, but the fact is that most juicers are not going to provide lifelong service (their life, not yours). By the time you’ve chopped up the first lot of fruit, you will be thinking it’s so much easier to buy a carton. Then you’ll discover what a vile combination lettuce and carrot juice is, and it’s back in the box for the juicer …

You’d have to grind an awful lot of nutmeg to justify spending £37 on one of these. Maybe there is an amazing difference between freshly ground and ready ground spices, but I can’t imagine using £37 of nutmeg in a lifetime.

If you like pineapple that much, then maybe, just maybe you would get enough use out of this gadget. If not, just buy canned. Much simpler and cheaper.

I’m still wondering if this one is a joke. It’s enough of a surprise to me that shops sell frozen omelettes, when a fresh one takes all of five minutes to make, but is it really that difficult to whisk an egg?

I’m sure none of our readers will be daft enough to ever buy such an object. You pull a cord and it shakers – yeah, so much easier and more precise than a quick flick of the wrist. Should you ever receive one as a gift, you will know exactly what the donor thinks of you. Would this even be used once?

Who eats that much asparagus? Buy it canned or in a jar, or just steam it yourself – so much easier.

Yes, this gadget dispenses one sheet of kitchen towel when you wave at it. If you require more than one sheet then you will be waving like a demented windmill. Truly, spectacularly, unbelievable that any manufacturer would think this would sell.
