You Are so Beautiful – Joe Cocker
This has to be one of the slowest and sappiest love songs ever, but I can’t keep from listening to it. I’m not usually one for sappy songs, but I can actually tolerate this one and listen to it the whole way through. I figured I needed to add in at least one sappy song to my list.
Died in Your Arms Tonight – Cutting Crew
Yep, middle school dance floors filled whenever this song was played. This song definitely makes me think of how much fun middle school dances were. Sure, most of them were spent waiting and wondering if I was going to be asked to slow dance by a cute boy in the crowd, but they were also filled with excellent dancing moments with my gal pals.
Frequently asked questions
Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman – Bryan Adams
I think this is one of the sexiest songs ever. Bryan Adams actually has quite a few tunes that I would consider to be love songs, but this one is my favorite. I remember hearing it on the movie Don Juan DeMarco. Who better to play Don Juan then Johnny Depp! Excellent song for an excellent movie.
Unforgettable – Nat King Cole
The version of this song where Natalie Cole sings along with her father is phenomenal. When I was in high school, my mom participated in a talent contest and this is the song she sang. I can still picture her standing up on the stage and singing this beautiful song.
At Last – Etta James
No one can belt it out like Etta James. This is the perfect song to slow dance in the dark with your loved one. I’ve heard this song numerous times in movies over the years; My Best Friend’s Girl, Little Manhattan, Kissing a Fool, and Pleasantville. It is the movie Pleasantville that I always think of when I hear this song. Such a great movie!

Kiss of a Rose – Seal
There are so many songs by Seal that I could consider to be love songs. However, this song crosses my mind first when I think about the many songs he sings. I think he has an amazing voice. I can recall slow dancing to this song with a guy a really liked in high school. This song always brings back good memories of that dance.
All You Need is Love – the Beatles
My husband often breaks into song and most of the time it is this one, which might be part of the reason that it made number one on my list of favorite love songs. The Beetles are one of my favorite bands as it is, so it's no surprise to me that my favorite song is also by them.
I’m sure this list of 7 of my favorite love songs various greatly from your own. There are just too many to try and pick from! What are your favorite love songs?
