7 Cars I Wish I Could Afford and Why ...
By Lyndsie

A lot of the time, cars are stereotypically a guy's domain, but I know that's not true and I bet a lot of you do as well. I get excited over lots of cars, and there are a lot I just wish I could drive at least once. Not all of them are so-called luxury cars, but many are, and here's my top 7 list of the vehicles that make me drool!

This is and will always be at the time of my list. Specifically I would love to have a 1950s Jaguar XK-140 – yep, just like the one driven by the luscious Ryan Phillipe in Cruel Intentions! I love that car. I love a lot of older Jaguars, so I probably wouldn't be picky about the year or the model if I was able to get my hands on one – yet I would probably thumb my nose up at a newer model, because they just aren't my cup of tea.

2. Mitsubishi Eclipse

I don't know what it is about these cars, but I love them to dead. The 2001 year is my favorite but I like the newer ones as well. The Spyder speaks to me a lot as well, but I'd be happy with a straight Eclipse. This is one of the few current cars that makes me obsessive, although there are a few others that rank up there with it.

3. Chevy Malibu

Again, I don't like the new Malibu models. My brother-in-law to-be has a newer model and with apologies to Dave, it is one of the blandest things I have ever seen. I don't think it's hideous or something, just … ordinary. Give me an old 1960s or 1970s model and I would be a happy, happy girl. I think the 1965 was particularly stellar – in candy apple red, baby!

4. Pontiac GTO

Pontiac makes a lot of cars I like, and they've done so for years. Case in point: the 1967 Pontiac GTO. Meow! Actually, I love several different GTO models, but the 1967 version is by far my favorite. This is a sleek little powerhouse, and I would love to have one all my own. Of course, I'd probably end up keeping it in the garage and babying it rather than driving it.

Sunshine and blue skies bring positivity and joy and it's important for every woman to take full advantage of it. Even when stuck indoors, it's still possible to enjoy some good vibes. 5. Porsche 911

I love the Porsche 911. I don't care what year it is, I love every incarnation of this car. My love affair began with an old PS1 game – I don't even remember what it was, but you could pick the car of your choice and race another player or the computer around different cities and terrains, and the cops were always looking to bust up your stuff. This baby does more than purr, it growls, and goes so fast I wouldn't be surprised if someone discovers the secret of time travel while driving one.

I know, I know. The Better Half and I argue about this all the time, and I know a lot of people think PT Cruisers are ugly, or just generally crap. My father-in-law to-be has one, and has no end of problems with it. So to be fair, I probably wouldn't ever actually buy one of these. But I like the look of them. Something about the design, at least in the car's early days, is somehow old fashioned, and it kind of reminds me of a miniature hearse. I'm not sure what that says about me! For the record, I also lust after Mini Coopers.

7. Aston Martin

My reason for wanting this car so bad? Speed! And I don't even like to drive that fast! But just once, it would be amazing to drive a car that can go so fast it makes you feel like flying. Of course, I'd have to be on a closed course, or else I'd be scared out of my mind.

These are just pretty, fast little dreams though. While I am in the market for a new car, logically speaking, I can't afford any of these until I'm officially a millionairess. That being said, what are your favorite dream cars? And who has any recommendations for what I should look for next?

Due to the fact that I'd be able to afford a mitsubishi eclipse in about 75 years, I'll settle for a shiny blue Toyota Yaris.
