The Stepfather
Cast: Penn Badgley, Amber Heard, Dylan Wash
Director: Nelson McCormick
Flixster Rating: 58%
Me thinks: This movie is where a seemingly normal man longs for the perfect family. When things do not measure up to his wants, he eliminates his family and moves on to find his next family…the perfect family. Will he be the one eliminate from his perfect family? Will someone get suspicious of how he is always there to lend a helping hand? You can find those answers by watching the movie on the big screen! I personally cannot wait to go see this movie. Do you know who your family is?
Black Dynamite
Cast: Michael Jai White, Tommy Davidson, Arseno Hall, Kevin Chapman
Director: Scott Sanders
Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 82%
Me thinks: “The Man” starts to get out of hand. First he murders his brother, pumps heroin into the local orphanages and turns to the ghetto to flood it with adulterated malt liquor. Black Dynamite is the only guy or shall we say hero that is willing to lend a helping hand and fight his way all the way down those blood soaked streets.
Frequently asked questions
Law Abiding Citizen
Cast: Jamie Foxx, Bruce McGill, Gerard Butler
Director: F. Gary Gray
Flixter Rating: 71%
Me thinks: He’s just an everyday guy, until he decides that it would be best if he takes justice into his own hands after a plea bargain sets the killer of his family free. Who is his target? His target is the district attorney that orchestrated the deal in the first place. This really is an action film at its best as it seems like it will be full of suspense.
New York, I Love You
Cast: Shia LaBeouf, Bradley Cooper, Natalie Portman
Director: Jiang Wen, Mira Nair, Shunji Iwai, Yvan Attal, Brett Ratner, Allen Hughes, Shekhar Kapur
Flixter Rating: 61%
Me thinks: This is an anthology film that shows us a couple of love stories that is set in New York, which is one of the most loved cities in the world. I think it will be a lovely story to watch…if you like love stories.
Where the Wild Things Are
Cast: Max Records, Catherine Keener, Forest Whitaker
Director: Spike Jonze
Flixter Rating: 77%
Me thinks: Out of the five movies I have just listed, this is the one that interests me the most, simply because it is filled with magic and talking creatures that we adore from the story book. The adventures of a young boy named max take place after he is sent to bed without any supper for misbehaving. During this time, he lets his imagination flow (just like any kid) and is sails away to where the wild things are roaming. The creatures love Max. In fact, they love him so much that they decide to make him their king. However, he starts to long to go back home, where is real family is. I cannot wait to see this movie. My daughter has had her eyes set on it ever since she saw the commercial…
