50's Inspired Clothing

The biggest 50's inspired look is the full, mid-length skirt which dominated the Louis Vutton shows, but prints, shapes, styles and colours will all be from the feminine era which really celebrated curvy women. Your charity shop will probably have a great selection of 50's originals, so grab a few key pieces to brighten up your wardrobe.

Maxi Dresses

Maxi Dresses have a glamorous Autumn update, with chiffon being the key material. Pretty florals, subtle prints and floaty materials are key to this look, which is flattering for everyone. Team it with a lined gilet on cold nights, and mix two of the hottest new trends.

Baroque Stylings -

Baroque Stylings - Designers have mixed 70's French Luxe with 80's Retro to create an amazing look... mix embellished velvets with tassled pieces and anything leopard print for a unique and very high-fashion look. It might take some confidence to pull this off, but the catwalk looks got some intense praise! Low key versions will be available too, such as this stunning jacket from ASOS.

5

Leather Shorts

These started to make an experience in the mid-stages of Summer, but if you invested, don't pack them up yet. Camel and tan versions are set to stay hot, and look divine teamed with chunky knits and a trench! The key is to avoid tight fitting styles, and go for looser versions which look sexy and low-key. Easy to wear, and so gorgeous!

Accessories

Accessorize everything! From knitwear to handbags and shoes, attach pretty charms and brooches to instantly update an outfit. I've even been investing in cute jewelry and threading it through my clothes... it looks girly, chic and gorgeous, and it's the easiest way to update your wardrobe!

Flares

Chloe bought back big flares with an amazing catwalk collection... They are amazingly flattering whatever your figure, and they are so easy to dress up and down. A classic black pair is essential for work, but invest in a chic nude pair too, and team with a classy nude shirt for an amazing look. Think girly and gorgeous!

8

Alpine

Lumberjack shirts and thick furry coats are set to be huge, and there will be no stopping the Alpine trend when the cold nights draw in. Try adding a shirt over your Summer cami or plain maxi to start with, before investing in chunky knits and furry coats as it gets colder. Remember that the look is masculine and big, though, so keep jewelry to a minimum and hair and make up natural.

Braces -

Braces - Paris Hilton has already been snapped in braces, but this Season they are set to be designed into clothes, rather then added as a quirky accessory. Forget loose dungarees though, the look is smart and tailored, and demands attention. Miss Selfridge have got an amazing pair of braced shorts available already... team with an understated T, and your ready to rock the low key look!

Boots

Boots are set to be huge, but in a brand new way. Fur lined and covered in buckles, they've had a masculine makeover, and they look divine teamed with tights! I love the stilletto heel contrasting with the thick sole, too... Grab some early, and team them with any textured look.

Start looking out for these trends and working them into your Summer outfits now, and you'll make an effortless transition from Summer to Autumn, and look amazing too! You are also much more likely to find unique pieces, or get the best ones at the best prices. Have you spotted a hot Autumn look I've missed? Please let me know!
