I’m always up for learning something new, so I was really pleased to come across a site called the Email College. The site offers lots of FREE mini-courses on subjects such as business, personal development, careers and creativity. Each course is divided into sections, with one part sent via email every 1 or 2 days. Here are some suggestions I’ve picked out, something from each category.

Business
Always wanted to start your own business, but don’t have a clue about where, what or how? Then try ‘Starting the right business for you’.

Personal Development
Lots to choose from in this section! There are so many courses that it was hard to pick just one out. In the end, I settled for ‘Choosing a Better Life’. Most of us want to change something in our lives, be it career, relationships or our financial situation, but don’t know where to start. We feel stuck in a rut. This course could give you that little push you need to get you on the road to that better life!

Jobs and Careers
There’s no doubt that it’s a tough employment market at the moment, so if you’re looking for a job you need every bit of help you can get to boost your chances. ‘Writing a CV’ and ‘Winning the Interview Game’ could be just what you need to get yourself noticed among the hundreds of applications.

Have you got a terrible memory, like me? Do you forget … erm, I can’t remember what I was going to say. Perhaps I need to do ‘Improving your Memory’, which teaches you various methods of, well, improving your memory.

Plenty of ideas here, whether you want to learn about something in theory, or develop your practical creativity. Do you want to start a creative business, or just learn for fun? This is a much shorter section, but one course that may be of interest is ´Car Booting: Buy, Sell, Trade´. For US readers, car booting is the UK equivalent of garage sales. If you want to make some extra cash, or even start a small business, this could give you some tips.

Writing Guides
They say that everyone has a book in you. Is yours bursting to get out? There are so many courses here for budding writers that whatever genre you want to work in, you´ll find something of interest.
