Buying a Car

If you go in to buy a car and say things like "I don't really know what I want" or "Usually my husband would take care of this," you're going to get ripped off. Most dealerships mark up the price of a car and add on fees when they think you don't know what you're talking about. So do your research! Go in asking informed questions and don't be afraid to do a little bargaining. You'll see a bigger pay out in the end if you're less naive but still kind.
Getting Your Home Serviced in Some Way

We've all heard the stories about plumbers and electricians totally screwing people over with charges and things. So don't act like everyone in the world is as nice as they are in fairy tales. When you get a price quote for the work that you want done, shop around. Don't take that price until you know it's what the usual charge is for that kind of work.
Frequently asked questions
Getting Pulled over

Despite what you may have heard, when you get pulled over, it is not the time to start sobbing or fluttering your eyelashes. If you've been pulled over, take your keys out of the ignition, have your information ready and be apologetic about whatever you've done wrong. Being a girly girl isn't going to get you anywhere. It will probably just make the officer feel like you're insulting his or her intelligence.
Getting a Car Serviced

This is the one that has gotten me on more than one occasion. I will admit right now that I have no knowledge of cars at all. But that does not mean that I can be taken advantage of. Learn from my mistakes and remember to shop around, get signed quotes on whatever work needs to be done and ask as many informed questions as you can.
Buying Electronics

This seems to be another time when girly girls are totally taken advantage of. You can't go up to a salesman that works on commission and ask what the best TV is — he'll tell you the most expensive one any day, because that's how he makes his money. Do a little research, ask precise questions and don't settle on the first thing that gets recommended. Shopping around is key!

Talking to Creditors

I can't tell you why it is but for some reason male debt collectors seem to hassle women much more than they hassle men. Talk of extra charges and things of that nature are used as scare tactics and the more you act like a girly girl the more they're likely to threaten you with them. So stay strong, be informed and don't let them get under your skin!
Getting a Home Loan

Anytime you're buying anything or getting a loan of any sort it is very good to be informed. It's ok to ask questions but try not to sound ditsy and like you've never purchased anything before. Don't ask how something works. Ask specific questions about certain aspects of your loan.
Well ladies, hopefully these tips have helped you in not getting ripped of. Just remmeber to ask questions, be informed and and shop around! Any other times when being super girly doesn't pay? Let me know down below!
