Okay, which shall it be? Lost, American Idol, Lost, American Idol. Sitting here in NY with my little little tv, no vcr or dvd, I'm training to get ready for the major remote clicking I'll have to do tonight. My psychic prediction? The guy will win American Idol. (Can you tell I haven't really been watching?)
Over at 'All About The Pretty' Julia's hopes for pretty fall makeup are dashed against the rocks of despair.
"**Beauty**: Here is where I am having some problems. The faces are supposed to bare and the nude look is in which I absolute hate. I believe all women need color somewhere on their face, even if it's a little pink on the apples of the cheek. According to M.A.C.'s Gordon Espinet: "Beauty this fall asks women to embrace their masculine sides. Brows are fuller and less arched, skin is matte and taupe is the new pink. It's very much about no color - not girly. It's also very much about lined and smudged eyes emitting the smoke signals of dark romance." PPPPLLLEEEAAASSSEE. All women want to feel pretty and everyone knows smoky eyes have to be toned down according to one's day job. I plan to invoke a "less made" up face with beautiful lashes and a strong mouth with a beautiful red lip. Summer hasn't even began and now we have to focus on fall."
Did I hear right? We're supposed to embrace our masculine side? Geez, I didn't know I had one. Hmmm, fuller brows, ok give me a year. Matte skin, I can handle that. But taupe? Sorry, with all that gray (taupe is pink mixed with gray, not a user friendly color) I'll just look more tired than I already am. Maybe that is the manly look. Thick eyebrows, non oily skin and a gray look. I think I look that way when I wake up. I agree with Julia, bring back the pretty!!!
