Mischa Barton is due at a launch for Keds in less than an hour, so she's multi tasking: "These onion rings are good," she announces on my arrival at her Knightsbridge hotel suite, with an onion ring in one hand and a pair of Keds sneakers in the other. As ambassador for the sneaker line, Mischa is in town for the brand's London launch. "I design as well," she says as I sneak a look at her super skinny jeans and make-up free, dewy complexion with green envy. "I have some input - especially these sneakers with the hearts on them, they were inspired by me," she says proudly. "They're even going to be sold at Topshop which I thought was cool." So how does her home town of London compare in the style stakes to her native New York? "I am a bit of a downtown girl because I live in Tribeca. I like the vintage shopping in New York. English style is sometimes more refined, it's more about matching." One quick change later, she reappears in a sparkly Miu Miu black dress and matching black Keds. I guess she is a Brit at heart! -- Monique Jessen
