It seems like July **isn’t just the month for **fireworks **, there’s also plenty of babies being **born **in **Hollywood. First, Nicole Kidman gave birth to her and Keith Urban’s first child, Sunday Rose Kidman Urban.

Now, it’s Camila Alves’ turn to welcome a child into this world. Camila is Matthew McConaughey’s girlfriend, and this is first child together.

A healthy baby boy has arrived for Matthew and Camila.

The little guy was born at 6:22 pm Pacific time today July 7th, he weighed in at 7 lbs. 4oz.

In an interview with OK! magazine he said "Camila and I were side by side the entire time. We're both tired and elated, and are so happy to have created the greatest miracle in the world-- Having a child and making a family. Now comes the greatest adventure--raising one, together. "

The 38-year old actor and Brazilian model Camila has been together for quite some time now, and it was Matthew himself who announced on his website that they were expecting a baby on his website, way back in January.

After starring with Kate Hudson in “**Fool’s Gold**”, Matthew will have a cameo appearance in the upcoming action-comedy flick directed by Ben Stiller, which he stars along with Jack Black and Robert Downey, Jr.

The often-shirtless-on-the-beach hunk who’s now a proud **daddy **will star in the upcoming flicks “**Surfer Dude” and “**The Ghosts of Girlfriends Past”.
