While still basking in the success of โSex & the City: The Movieโ which raked in more than $300 million in box ****office **sales worldwide, **Sarah Jessica Parker is reported to be eyeing a similar role for her next film.
The star, 43, is in discussions with Warner Bros. about a screen version of novelist Karen Quinn's The Ivy Chronicles, described by the Hollywood **Reporter as an up-to-date take about class and the **single **woman in **Manhattan **-though unlike **Bradshaw, title character Ivy Ames moves out of the Upper East Side after the double whammy of a job loss and a divorce.
The trade paper likens The Ivy Chronicles to The Devil Wears Prada meets The Nanny Diaries, with a dash of the TV **mini-series **The Starter Wife thrown in.

Karen Quinn is the same author who wrote โ**Wife in the Fast Lane**โ and โ**Holly Would Dream**โ. In the โ**Ivy Chronicles**โ, the main character loses her job, her husband, her Park Avenue pad -while being forced to make a new life for herself and her equally ritzy, private school-educated daughters. Itโll be interesting to see SJPโs take on this role which is quite different from her character as Carrie Bradshaw.
Meanwhile, it looks like the 43-year old actress is making all the right moves career-wise. When it comes to her outfits, however, letโs hope that she does not get upstaged like she did last June when she wore that Nina Ricci dress to the NYC premiere of Sex & the City. The dress was previously worn by Lindsay Lohan and socialite Lauren Santo Domingo. Letโs hope she doesnโt make another **fashion **faux-pas again at the premier of her next movie.
