I tell you, there is a lot of bullying going on in school today amongst our children. I hear about it a lot from my little girl - she tells me the things that go on around here. It is said that seventy one percent of students report bullying as a problem in their school.

I know this fact might not have much to do with bullying in your point of view, but I believe it does, because bullies, sometimes end up bringing guns to school. Then again, I also believe that the result of bullies cause people to bring guns to school. Either way, it is said that one out of every twenty kids has seen a student with a gun in school. 2. Horrible Statistic

Statistics show that suicide is the third leading cause of death for those between the age of fifteen and twenty five years old. It is the sixth leading cause of death for those between the ages of five to fourteen years of age. This is sad. I can’t get over the fact that they say five year olds are killing themselves. It is estimated that five hundred thousand teens try to kill themselves each year and only five thousand of them succeed.

Boys tend to do their bully acts out in the open, without caring who sees them. However, girls tend to hide their bullying and act in passive aggressive ways. Girls that bully are harder to spot for this reason. One study said that more boys are bullies than girls are. However, another studies said that they say this because girl bullies are difficult for adults to spot and I believe this.

There you have 7 facts on bullying. You should definitely get out and try to prevent bullying from happening in schools. You could perhaps, start by passing this blog around and letting your child read it. Feel free to sit down and speak with your child about bullying – tell them the suicide statistics.
