Here is Christina's list of her favorite reads in 2009. I agree about The Book Thief. It's extremely beautiful.

2. How to Help Those in Need

If you want to get a head start on your charitable activities, get some ideas from this book that Angelina Jolie is reading. It's Greg Mortenson's Stones into Schools: Promoting Peace with Books, Not Bombs, in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

3. Another Zusak Masterpiece

Here is a great weekend read suggestion from College Candy: I Am the Messenger by Marcus Zusak. He wrote The Book Thief, too.

4. Be Happy

How? Start by reading The Happiness Project of Gretchen Ruben. Recommended by Oprah!

5. Another List for the Bookworm in You

I've read Ceremony (one of my all-time faves) and Wicked (brilliant). I will check the other books suggested. You should, too!

Hey there!! Thanks for the mention!!

I love these book recommendations! I never realized how many books I owned until I was forced to purchased an extra bookshelf despite my huge first one. You should consider making this a monthly post! So much fun!

haha! I am somewhat of a bookworm. I recently started reading books from foreign authors. I am having a good time so far.

Hi Sheila! I really want to get into books but the only one ive read so far is invisible monsters. Such a good book! Is there any more books like that?

You guys should read The Brief Wonderous life of Oscar Wao - Junot Diaz. After a really long time (elongate really as if you are describing Giselle Bundchen's legs...) a book which I can claim as being brilliant. The last time I called a book brilliant was "Curious Incident of the dog last night" - Mark Haddon. (Read that as well if you haven't read it already) AND "Vernon God Little" - D.B.C Pierre.

I needed a new list. My reading has been seriously slacking lately. Time to start anew and fill the bookshelf with new finds :) Thanks Meream!
