Whether you are a stay-at-home mom or a single girl trying to make her mark in the jungle of a city -you should never take your health for granted. Watching your figure does not mean that you should compromise the nutrition of the food that you are eating.

I recently stumbled upon this health blog which lists down the 10 healthiest foods to eat -which are apparently called “superfoods”:

The 10 healthiest foods are foods that are so exceptionally good for us that we should include them in our healthy diet on a regular basis. Our list of super foods is arranged alphabetically, not in order of importance. Each is an amazing food, jam packed with health giving benefits.

Berries, broccoli, citrus fruits, garlic, nuts, oats, salmon, spinach, tomatoes and turkey are all included in the top 10 superfoods list.

So what exactly are superfoods? They are the items in our refrigerator that we tend to ignore, thinking that the only nutritious fruits in the planet are apples and oranges. These superfoods have an exceptional nutritional content, which is exactly why they are named such.

The next time that you raid the fridge, look for these food items and experience their amazing benefits to your health.
