Remember that strapless Nina Ricci gown worn by Sarah Jessica Parker at the NYC **premiere of “**Sex and the City the Movie”? The actress was ‘distressed’ to learn that the gown was already previously worn by heiress Lauren Santo Domingo at the Met’s Costume Institute Gala and Lindsay Lohan in a Disney ad campaign.
I think that it helps to wear a designer dress straight from the fashion event into a red carpet event -so that the gown will still have fresh-off-the-runway-look.
Check out these great “Runway to Red Carpet” pictures from Red Carpet Fashion Awards:
Let’s discuss in detail one dress in particular. I absolutely love Christine Baranki’s pink mini-dress which drapes from the shoulder to the hemline.
“**Grey’s Anatomy**” star Ellen Pompeo was actually the first one to wear the same designer dress at Madonna **and **Gucci’s ****Malawi Benefit event last February 6. Ellen’s dress was black, and she wore it with black **Louboutin **booties.
Meanwhile, the pink color actually looked flattering and hot on the 56-year old actress. The gold pointy pumps and matching gold clutch are the perfect accessories.
My other personal favorites are that red Malandrino **dress worn by Dita von Teese and that white **Stella McCartney number donned by Maria Sharapova. Which of these outfits from the runway would you wear to your own red carpet event?
