Mashed Potatoes

Mashed potatoes is something that my daughter enjoys doing! She sits there and watches me peel and cut the potatoes, then waits for them to boil. When they are boiled and cooled down, she knows what time it is! I mash them down just a little and get it going for her, then she does the rest. She loves to add butter in them. I put salt, because I’m afraid she’ll put a bit too much salt. This is definitely something fun to do with your kids.

Making baked potatoes is always fun, but you will be handling the putting it in the oven and taking it out part, this way, they do not get burned. Allow them to wrap the potato up in aluminum foil. When it is out of the oven and cooled down, let them put toppings, such as cheese, butter and sour cream on it.

When you’re fixing their favorite pasta, allow them to help you and identify the noodles. Allow them to put the sauce and toppings on. They can also mix it all up. Basically, this is something that they can do alone, with you standing behind them.

Chicken and Rice

My daughter doesn’t really like rice, but she loves chicken and yellow rice! However, she will not eat rice by itself. I think she’ll grow out of it, though, because when I was a kid, I didn’t like rice. She helps me cook the rice. I don’t let her around the chicken though when it’s not cooked. Once the chicken is cooled down, I let her tear it up in pieces and then put it in the rice. She thinks it is so fun!

Making Hamburgers

After you wash your hands, get your children to make some hamburgers. My daughter loves patting the hamburger meat into hamburgers and laughing. Then, put it in the pan and fry it.

My daughter does not like spaghetti, in fact, she doesn’t like any type of pasta, but she does like the meat balls! She also likes making the meatballs into little circles. Your kids would like this too and it doesn’t involve much at all. Just take some hamburger meat and let them make it into circles. Afterwards, wash their hands good.

Pizza is fun to make! Kids enjoy putting the toppings on it. Depending on their age, they may even be able to roll the dough out. You can also get store made crust and let them have at it. Really, you can’t go wrong when it comes to making pizza!

You provide the bread and their choice of meat and let them make it. My little girl loves making sandwiches. I still remember when she made her own peanut butter and jelly sandwich. She did it just right the first time around! She’s pretty cool, because she also knows how to pour her own bowl of milk for cereal without overflowing the bowl, like you see kids doing on those commercials, so are those commercials myths? Do kids really do that?

There you have 8 easy recipes to try with kids. I think these are the most easiest recipes out there as they do not require much at all. So, what do you think about these?
