They will only tell you that you do it too.

Stop judging them and realize how confused and anxious they are feeling. Realize that they’re not doing it all on purpose. Realize that certain drugs can take over the body. They really hook the person and make them dependent on it. It’s not their fault. It’s sad when someone takes heavy medication for pain, then when the pain is over, they find that they are addicted and reliant on the stuff. This is different from when a person picks up a beer and gets addicted to it on their own. Either way, realize they have feelings to.

Addictions come in different forms, but what it all comes down to as that they are too stuck in it to get out of it alone. They need someone to help them.
