5 Movies Worth Going to the Theater to See...

By Melanie

Everyone enjoys going to see a movie every now and then. I am going to give you 5 movies worth going to the theatre to see. If you’re looking for a good movie, then pick one from my list.

5 Dear John

A soldier is home on leave when he falls for a college girl. Instead of going home to her, he re-enlists after the September 11th attacks occur. Distance and time start to take toll on the two of them. Will they make it? One way to find out is by watching this movie.

4 Avatar

Cast: Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Michelle Rodriguez

I know, it has been in theaters, but I just had to list it. Who hasn’t seen this? It takes part in a special world that goes past our imagination. A hero takes part in an adventure trying to save the alien world that he has started to call home.

3 Shutter Island

Cast: Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingsley, Michelle Williams, Max von Sydow
Genre: Action/Adventure, Thriller and Adaptation
Two guys (Teddy Daniels and Chuck Aule) are called to a remote island off of the coast of Massachusetts so that they can investigate the mysterious disappearance of murderess from the fortress of the island. It is like a hospital for the criminally insane.

2 Remember Me

Cast: Robert Pattinson, Emilie de Ravin, Chris Cooper, Lena Olin, Tate Ellington
Genre: Drama and Romance
Tyler is a rebellious young man living in New York City. He has acted up in the relationship with his father ever since a tragedy separated the family. He did not think anyone could understand what he has been going through until he meets a girl, Ally. Love was not on his mind, but he starts to fall in love with her.

1 Alice in Wonderland

Cast: Johnny Depp, Mia Wasikowska, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, Crispin Glover
Genre: Science Fiction/Fantasy and Adaptation
I couldn’t wait until this one was released! You’re familiar with the popular Alice in Wonderland story, correct? 19-year-old Alice is at it again. She is first encountered by a young girl where she is reunited with her friends from her childhood. You know, the White Rabbit, Tweedledum, Tweedledee, the Caterpillar, the Dormouse, Cheshire Cat and Mad Hatter.

If you are looking for a good movie, then these five are great ones to pick from. Out of all of them, I think "Alice in the Wonderland" would be the best one to go see. What do you think?
