4. Oatmeal mask

An oatmeal mask is a great remedy for skin beaten by a cold wind. To make it, mix together in equal proportions raw oatmeal flakes, egg yolk, and honey. Keep the mask on your face for about 20 minutes, wash with lukewarm water, and pat dry. After the application, your facial skin should feel very soft, refreshed, and healed.
5. Banana mask

If you have combination skin suffering from winter elements, try a softening banana mask. Mix mashed banana with fresh sweet cream and apply this wonderful mask all over your face for 30 minutes. It will smooth, soften, moisturise and nourish your skin whenever necessary and will make you forget about the cold, harsh, and nasty winter outside!

I should have tried this banana mask when I was last winter in Siberia, maybe I will keep it in mind for next time trip
The avocado mask sounds like something I would enjoy having on my face to pamper my skin with.
I will definitely give it a try.
Nice post!
I have very dark circles around the eyes and dark tone on the forehead, but i have not yet found remedies in this site, please help me. thanks
to Munaza:
The dark spots on your forehead must be the results of sun damage. Unfortunately there’s no remedy for that. Many beauticians say that chemical peels will make it less visible – but that’s pretty much all that would do – make it LESS visible. I heard from a homeopathic doctor that these sun damage spots appear on the skin only if you have liver problems (that explains why other people don’t get them even with constant sun exposure).
So, perhaps, you might want to find a homeopathic doctor in your area who will be able to diagnose you and tell you what natural remedies you should start taking in order to get your liver back to normal. That’s what I am doing now and as far as I can see – the brown spots started to fade without any chemical peels. The same goes for the dark circles. If you get an 8 hour sleep each night and you go to bed before midnight, your dark circles would just disappear in a couple of weeks- if not, it might be a sign of an internal problem – most common thing is toxins and you might be in need of a powerful body detox.
But again, you need to see a homeopathic doctor to start any kind of treatment that’ll help you get rid of these problems.
Good luck to you, Munaza!
yeah, the bananas and egg whites work really well. I have allergies, so i have tried looking eyes. i have blue circles and these impossible fine lines from loose skin. nothing worked for me. but the bananas and egg whites did help, and if that helped, that says something because TRUST me, my fine lines are impossible. but yeah those two really reduce the appearance of the lines and tightens skin.
Malibu,
Oh I know how egg whites work. You can literally feel it tightening your skin up. So it stinks a little but that’s a small price to pay. Happy to know that these masks worked for you! Home remedies are the best! Cheap and usually the most effective
hello,
please i want help for the blackheads on the nose please the next year i will be in university please help me
Hey Hiba,
Here are some great ideas for home-made remedies for stubborn blackheads.
- Crush fenugreek leaves and mix with water to make a paste. Apply that for about ten mins and wash off.
- 1 tsp of corriander leaves juice mixed with 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder before going to bed every night.
- 1 tsp of curd mixed with rice flour for a few mins. everyday.
- Lemon juice on affected areas should help too. Needless to say this might sting just a wee bit.
Hope that was helpful :)
i become tan very soon.is there any treatment for this..or any mask that can help me to get rid of this tan skin.i have got a very nornal skin sumtims its dry.
Lisa, here are some solutions I found online.
– Make a face mask of Black gram- 10 tsp ground to a paste mixed with 2 tsp tomato juice and 2 tsp curd. Heat it on a low flame for 2-3 min. Then cool and leave on your face for 10-15 minutes before washing it off.
- Exfoliate regularly.
- Bleaching creams (although I would avoid them altogether)

Hey there Sweta,
Thanks for writing to us. Alas! Problems like yours have no generic answers. You’d be better off visiting a dermatologist who will guide you the right way.
what about a dry red winter face ?:(
Hey Dorothy,
Have you tried either of the avocado or banana or oatmeal masks? Oatmeal really helps. I can tell you that for a fact. Take 2 cups of oats, blend it till it becomes a fine powder and add that to a warm bath. Better still, add 2 cups of milk or a few drops of essential oils into the oats before adding them to your bath. This will really help soothe your winter skin. Besides that, drink plenty of water and eat foods that are rich in omega-3 fatty acids like salmon and nuts. Hope that helped :)
Stay fabulous….
