1

Admit That You Are Wrong

If you really are in the wrong, admitting the fact is one of the best ways to end a fight. Not only will you end the fight, you will also earn the respect of the person you are fighting with for being brave enough to acknowledge your mistakes.

2

Swallow Your Pride

Pride goes before the fall, they say and it is true. Sometimes, a fight reaches a stage where it doesn’t matter what caused the fight or who started it. Both parties have said and done things to hurt each other. Swallow your pride and apologize for your behavior. The ball is now in their court.

3

Write It down

This is one of the best ways to end a fight because it helps clear your head. Write everything down as objectively as possible and then review the situation. Make sure you do this when you are feeling calm and composed. If you find you are in the wrong, promptly apologize. If you find that the other person is wrong, let him or her know exactly how you feel, but do this calmly.

4

Just Wait and Take a Break

A fight can only carry on if you continue to react to the situation. Just hold your horses and take a break. Wait it out. Both of you will get time to think about what has happened as well as what outcome you want out of it. If both of you want to regain your relationship, you will be able to work it out.

5

Involve an Intermediary

If the fight is serious and it is also important to reach an outcome, perhaps you may want to consider an intermediary. Make sure the person you choose is absolutely neutral and objective. Make sure you are open to what the intermediary may have to say.

Famous Quotes

To give oneself earnestly to the duties due to men, and, while respecting spiritual beings, to keep aloof from them, may be called wisdom.

6

Visualize the Outcomes

Now that you are in a fight, try and visualize what the possible outcomes of the situation can be. You will find that you are immediately drawn to any one outcome. Once you have decided what outcome you want, it will be easier to achieve it.

7

Forgive and Forget

This may not be the easiest thing to do for either of you, but if your relationship is too important to be lost in a fight, this is the best option you have.

Just choose any one of the 7 ways to end a fight that seems most practical for your situation and you will find that after all, it is not such a difficult thing to do.
