3. Don’t Smile, Laugh
People can tell a fake smile from a true one. Instead of plastering your lips in an upward curve, tell a funny joke. This will make others laugh which in turn will put a real grin on your lips.
4. Wear the Right Shoes
Believe it or not, people will notice your shoes. Look at the Oscar Red Carpet. In all the details of what the stars wore, it is mentioned about the dress, the hair, and the shoes! Wear pumps for a first good impression. People will notice how classy, confidant, and sophisticated you appear.

6. Ask Questions
When you prompt conversation with someone new, ask questions about them and what they are interested in. People like to feel important and one way to do this is by asking them to talk about themselves. Ask about their hobbies, their job, their favorite foods, anything to get them talking about them. As a result, they may want to ask you the same questions and who knows? A new friendship could be born.
7. Don Not Be Loud or Obnoxious
Loud people seem to get all the attention, but it may be attention you do not really want. In general, people tend to avoid loud talkers. Quite conversation seems to work best, unless of course you are at a party. But then again, it is best not to be too loud, even then.
