Social Events of the Weekend

W Magazine & LACMA Host Inaugural Avant-Garde Gala, LA

Ali Larter looks stunning as always in a white Carolina Herrera Spring 2008 strapless dress with paillettes and embroidery detail on the bodice.

Ginnifer Goodwin would not give a front on pose wearing a black Roberto Cavalli Fall 2007 halter-neck chiffon dress with silver sequined detail.

Angie Harmon wore a simply white blouse with a heavily sequined copper skirt with copper coloured peep-toes.

I am not sure this is Angie's best look, and her uncharacteristically messy hair is just bugging me a tad, as she is usually immaculately groomed.

Empire Awards 2008, London

Emma Watson looks very grown up in her pretty white silk dress with an ethnic studded cuff and black elastic bondage platforms.

Agyness Dean was at the event in her 'don't adjust your TV set' striped maxi dress.

I am still reeling at her Best Dressed Woman Of The Year Tatler Award.

"Death Defying Acts" Premiere, Sydney

I see what Catherine Zeta-Jones was going for here in this asymmetric mini dress, but unfortunately for me it did not work.

She wanted the critics to say how great she looked wearing such an outfit for a woman of her age. Unfortunately I prefer a more polished, chic and sophisticated Zeta-Jones, and I ended up getting a woman who just tried too hard.
