Christina Samoylov was already obsessed with fashion at the age of four when she named her cat Oscar De La Renta. She even later attempted to sell her Sunday School Bible on eBay for Harper’s Bazaar. Sixteen years later when Samoylov entered Ohio Dominican University as a Political Science major, she realized this degree would lead her to courtrooms and restless nights. She knew that she needed to find work with a more creative outlet.
Samoylov took the leap and sold everything in her apartment to purchase a plane ticket and pay the cost to transport her car to Southern California where she decided to pursue her degree at The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising.
In between classes, she hunted for thrift shops to find hidden vintage gems that she would later sell on eBay to support herself through college. Having a light-bulb moment, she decided to launch Designer Vault, a luxury online consignment store that sells designer women’s apparel and accessories that fashionistas covet. Designer Vault is everything that Christina Samoylov wants in a company: a service-first company that provides the best quality fashion at the best prices with the best customer care the web has to offer.
