"I was turned on to Aveda by a friend (who happens to be a celebrity makeup artist and host of a very popular beauty blog, ahem!) for use on a recent photoshoot. The look I need was bed head, that "just woke up but my hair's gorgeous", look.
As instructed by the aveda salesperson, I applied a few taps of this powder directly on the scalp every 1/2 inch along the crown of the head, put my fingers on the scalp and shook my hands for a few seconds and...viola! Instant vavoom without the sticky/stiffness of hairspray. It doesn't last forever but is a great alternative to hairspray when hair changes are required. It's a little pricey ($22?) but seems like it will last a while.
