When flipping through magazines or looking at Hollywood gossip websites, I’m always on the lookout for new celeb tattoos. Some of them are goofy or weird, some don’t make sense, but others are really cool and have a lot of meaning. Here are a few I’ve seen lately, or have just always liked… this is my list of 7 cool celebrity tattoos.
Becks has lots of tattoos, but the one I like the most is on his left forearm. It’s his wife’s name, Victoria, in Hindi, which is rumored to be misspelled. Under that, he had added another line, in Latin, “Ut Amem Et Foveam,” which means, “so that I love and cherish.” So sweet! I think it’s romantic, though maybe a little risky, when a man tattoos something specifically for a woman he loves… risky because look what happened to Johnny Depp with his “Winona Forever” tattoo…
Beckham truly wears his heart on his sleeve, and his tattoos symbolize his devotion and love. Beyond loving tributes, he’s also got the names of his four children etched into his skin, showing that family is at the very core of his identity. Each tattoo tells a story, a permanent piece of art reflecting an intimate chapter of his life. Quite the canvas, his body reveals a tapestry of meaningful symbols and quotes, including a guardian angel and a depiction of Jesus designed to watch over him. This soccer legend has turned his body into a heartfelt gallery.
When Victoria had her hair extensions removed not long ago, the world could see her latest tattoo, which runs up and down her spine to the back of her neck. It’s gorgeous, and it translates to an old Hebrew saying, “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine.” I love it! I just don’t know if I’d have put it there… maybe around my wrist instead?
This is an ideal tattoo for the back of your neck, especially if you have longer hair. The little stars are sweet, and I love the grouping of them. They’re perfect for Rihanna, who is terribly sweet in real life…
Granted, the tattoo on Jennifer Love Hewitt’s left arm isn’t real, but it’s still really cool. I’m not sure what it means, since most celeb tattoo sites didn’t pick up on this, but I’m sure it’s something meaningful, or she wouldn’t have bothered, right?
Christina Ricci has eight tattoos, but the one on her right shoulder is my favorite. It’s the outline of a lion, which I think means her sign is Leo. I’d have gotten it a little smaller, but I think it’s perfect for her right where it is, and as large as it is.
I think the coolest tattoo Angelina Jolie has is a group of latitudes and longitudes that says where her children first came into her life. But my favorite set of her tattoos are on her left forearm, one of the Roman numeral 13 (that indicates she’s not superstitious) and a line from a Tennessee Williams play, “A prayer for the wild at heart, kept in cages.” I also like the tattoo on her hip that says, “Quod me nutrit me destruit,” which is Latin, and translates to “what nourishes me, destroys me.” If I ever get another tattoo, this is the one I would get. I’m not sure where I would put it, though…
I love this tattoo, though it’s in kind of an odd spot… it’s large, and across the nape of her neck, but I love the sentiment… it’s a quote from Edgar Allen Poe, “All that we see or seem Is but a dream within a dream.” Awfully romantic for Poe, don’t you think?
I can’t decide which of these cool celeb tattoos I like best… but I’m leaning towards the one on Angelina Jolie’s hip… which of these do you like best? Would you ever get one of these tattoos? Why or why not? Please let me know!
