7. A Child Called It

A Child Called It Price: $8.60 at amazon.com
This is absolutely the most heart-rending book I have ever read. I actually had to put the book down for a couple of days because the material was so intensely gut wrenching. You must have nerves of steal while you read this story of child abuse. I mulled over the terrifying, sad, sad story for days after I finished. Books two and three are not quite as heart twisting, but you will want all three books. You can’t read book one and not ever find out how his life turned out when finally taken from his abusive mother.

A few of these books are simply great tear- jerkers. If you don't like to cry, do not read these books. Have you read a really sad book lately. I would love for you to let me know the title.

I read A Walk to Remember at least once a year and I cry every time! It's gotten so silly. Haha

"a child called it" was so sad :( i couldn't believe it was based on a true story!

On a lighter note books made me cry before each of my exam nights and I am happy they are not going to do this anymore ;)

A Child Called It absolutely turned my stomach sour. I couldn't believe the terrible things that poor child went through. The saddest part of it all is how many children suffer each year due to this kind of abuse and no one ever knows about it. That's amazing, I just bought "The Book Theif." I can't wait to read it now!

night is truly a masterpiece, weisel didnt even speak much less write of his experiences until ten years had passed. the worst parts are when he is taken away slowly from his life, his house, his friends, and slowly his family. i would recommend reading a translation from german rather than the book he wrote specifically for english readers, it has much more detail

The last and only book that made me cry was "The Book Thief". You guys HAVE to read it!

The books 'For One More Day' and 'Tuesdays with Morrie' by Mitch Albom are really good tear-jerkers. You might want to read it for a good cry.. :)

Books that made me cry were Where the Red Fern Grows and Thirteen Reasons Why

I'm surprised that Sarah's Keys isn't here..
