Diet Pills: a Respite for Obese People ...
By Thomas

If you are fat, you may be terribly offended if some of your peers jibed at you by calling “fatso” or “hippo.” Indeed, it is infuriating to be nicknamed in such a degrading manner, but the problem of obesity does not end there. It would have been great if the problem associated with obesity was limited up to becoming a butt of all the jokes in your friends’ circle. Unfortunately, obesity is far more dangerous than just looking chubby.

Today, obesity has become a major public health concern because it acts as a harbinger of life-threatening diseases like heart attack, stroke, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, osteoarthritis etc. The actual reason why people become obese is the negligent eating habit and lack of physical activity.

Our body weight is the physical manifestation of what we eat and drink. Eating too much or too less results in eating disorder. For a good health, a well balanced diet with regular exercise is needed. But, due to our busy life we tend to forget to keep tab of what we eat and the volume we eat, and we also avoid workouts and ultimately become the victim of obesity.

If anyone sincerely follows proper diet and exercise plan but is unable to lose weight, then for those people the key for weight loss is the prescription diet pills. Use of diet pill is recommended with proper prescription of a doctor. Prescription diet pills works by suppressing your appetite, thereby reducing your food intake.

When used properly, weight loss prescription drugs have real potential to help bring about positive change in your overall health and fitness. However, you should always keep in mind that weight loss prescription drugs are not meant to be a life long means of controlling or reducing weight. Because it gives only a short term result, because body soon develops tolerance to these drugs and it becomes ineffective.

Although, diet pills can give you temporary respite, you should be aware of its side effects before taking it. Various side effects are anxiety and nervousness, irritability, high blood pressure, chest pain, heart palpitation, heart attack, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, dizziness, dry mouth, frequent urination, blurred vision, fever, headache and frequent urination, etc.

Some of the prescription diet pills are Phentermine, Adipex, Bontril, Didrex, Ionamin, Meridia, Phendimetrazine, Tenuate, Xenical and others. These drugs should be complemented by developing healthier eating habits and regular physical activity.

With the growing rate of obesity, as well as the costs associated with treating the serious health problems associated with it, it should be mentioned here that prescription diet pills is the best option available for you if you want to reduce your weight.
