I loved Tom Hulce’s portrayal of Mozart so much. I admit it, I thought he was hot. I cry a lot through this movie, primarily when many of his most famous pieces are played. And the end gets me every time. It’s weird, it’s like after watching the movie, I think it’s unfair that Mozart died in the first place.

I’m a puddle all through this movie. Having been a band geek from sixth grade to my senior year, I had music teachers who inspired this kind of love and respect. I would have traded all of them in for one semester with Mr. Holland, but then, I have a thing for Richard Dreyfuss.

This movie touched me deeply. I love it, but I’ve only seen it once -- basically because it rips my heart to pieces when I do watch it. I can watch bits and pieces, but can rarely sit through the most profound parts.

I told you some of these were weird. Yeah, the movie made from Stephen King’s book (which also made me cry -- that book is far more haunting and evocative than anything simply labeled a “horror story” should ever be). The scene with the truck, the whole last half hour -- I sob, I tell you.

Sunshine and blue skies bring positivity and joy and it's important for every woman to take full advantage of it. Even when stuck indoors, it's still possible to enjoy some good vibes. You’re going to think I’m crazy, but I know this movie is going to make me cry so hard that I actually haven’t even watched it yet. I’m still trying to pick the perfect moment! I’ve read the short story, however, so I know what I’m in for -- it’s better this way. This movie is going to depress me for at least a week.

I can’t even talk to you about it. I am such an LOTR dork. It’s not even just the movies, either. The soundtrack rips me to pieces and the books tear me apart.

7. Mamma Mia!

I’m super close to my mom, so every mother/daughter scene and song in this movie just does me in all the way through. I saw it in the theatre with my mom, my fiancee, and my future mother-in-law, and all four of us were clutching hands and bawling.

8. The Man in the Moon

This is one of Reese Witherspoon’s first movies, if not the first, and it starred … one of those London brothers, Jason or Jeremy. Horrible, wonderful, heartbreaking movie, I’ve only seen it once as well, and it’s stuck with me ever since.

9. The Great Gatsby

Here, I’m talking about the version starring Robert Redford, Sam Waterston, and Mia Farrow. The book makes me sob like a baby too, and this version of the film is so well done it requires a box of tissues as well.

10. A Single Man

Colin Firth stars in this adaptation of the book, and he is marvelous. I would marry him in a New York minute anyway, but this movie -- oh man, it’s too new, too fresh, and too raw for me to even begin to tell you about it. But it is absolutely beautiful, it takes your heart during the first minute and neglects to return it at the end.

I love watching these movies the most when I feel like I’m in need of a good cry. That, reading a sad book, or listening to music that fits my mood helps me get over it. Do you ever feel like you just need to cry? Which movies make you sob?
