7 Things That Are Not so Hot ...

I can’t believe the number of people I’ve heard boast about cheating on their loved one. It’s almost like a game to them. There is even a television show where cheaters get ousted by the other person in the relationship. I have a hard time understanding how shows like this continue to air. I guess it’s sort of like a train wreck though; you can’t help but to look. I did hear that the host of one of these shows got stabbed by a disgruntled person who was video taped cheating on his girlfriend. I wonder if the hosts of similar shows have decided to hire people to protect them after this incident.

Men and women who try to squeeze themselves into a shirt that looks like it was made for a toddler make me feel embarrassed for them. First of all, it can’t be comfortable. Can it? Secondly, does that person actually think it’s an attractive piece of clothing? In some cases, the fashion statement might simply be a quick decision before taking a trip down the road to the store for something. In other instances, I think it’s just a bad choice in attire.

I’ve seen plenty of short skirts that are tasteful and others that should never be worn in public. The ones I’m referring to are the skirts that expose cheeks without the person even bending over to retrieve something. A super short skirt might be acceptable as a Halloween costume. They are usually considered to be acceptable when worn by a toddler who is also sporting a cute pair of ruffled underpants. I’m sure some people have no qualms with super short skirts, but I just think they are a bit on the overrated side.

People who eat with their mouths open are usually the ones I try to avoid having lunch with. My husband and I have to remind the kids to slow down and chew with their mouths closed. I think most adults should already now this tactic, but it seems there are some who don’t. In my opinion, this is a complete turn off when out on a first date. Just the smacking sound is enough to drive me crazy, and not in a good way!

There’s a time and a place for everything. I know there are times when scratching an itch feels like a must, however, if you need to scratch a private area, at least try to be discreet about it. The last thing I want to see when I’m out with my family is a guy digging at the crotch of his pants.

This is another one of those things that some people brag about to friends. Some people consider one-night stands to be a socially acceptable event, which tends to be why they end up discussing the act in detail and often with little regard to strangers in the same room. I personally don’t wish to hear about such events during a family outing.

Noticing strangely placed hairs on a person you are conversing with is always a bit awkward, at least on your part. Hairs coming out of ears, nostrils, or from the middle of a mole aren’t usually a huge turn-on. I always try to corral the rogue hairs on my husbands face before he heads out in public. I tend to notice more guys with stray hair issues, even thought it seems like they are more acceptable on a man than on a women; most of the time.

There are probably plenty of items you can add to this list of 7 things that are not so hot. This is just a personal list of some of the top instances I can think of. How do you think people manage to do or say some of these things? What is one of the top things you think isn’t all that hot?
