I love a person who has a good, strong backbone and stands up for what they believe in. I also love it when a person isn’t afraid to let people know how they feel about a subject. Cramming your beliefs down someone’s throat is never a good idea, but that’s where tact comes in. Here are 7 qualities I believe everyone should try and possess in life!

Honesty

You won’t get far in life without this quality. Honesty always pays off in the end. I know it’s hard to be honest sometimes when it would be so much easier to fib, but the truth is always the best way to go. And having honesty doesn’t mean just not telling lies. Be an honest person. You won’t regret it!
Friendliness

If you want friends, you must be a friend. So show yourself to be friendly! Make the first move. Start a conversation with somebody, or simply smile and acknowledge his or her presence. You may be surprised by how people will open up to you if you give them a chance!

Willingness

Always have a willing heart. Be willing to try new things, or put yourself out for people. Volunteer to help take on a project or assist someone with something they are trying to do. Be willing to take on the job that no one else wants. It may be hard, but it will be worth it!
Integrity

Sometimes all you need in life is a little bit of head smarts and know-how. Trust me, although sometimes making a bad judgment call or a wrong decision can teach you an important lesson, if you slow down and take some time to use some integrity and wisdom, you may learn a far more valuable lesson than you ever thought you could have!
Charisma

If you have a job that requires you to sell items, or be around a lot of people, charisma is a great quality to possess. Even if you are a stay at home mom, showing charisma to your children is a good example! And as a student in high school or college, having that extra spirit will cause you to be popular with fellow students and get you noticed by your teachers!

Optimism

Don’t be the person that people always recognize as the down-in-the-dumps party pooper. Have a little optimism! Even if things aren’t going the way you think they should, try and have a smile ready. Not only will you feel better, but also people will notice that no matter what life throws your way you are always stronger for it!
Confidence

No one can make you feel inferior but yourself. Keep that in mind if you start worrying whether you are good enough and struggling with your self-worth. Tell your self that you are great and you can do it! Then believe it. It’s as simple as that!
These are but a few of the many good qualities we should all strive to posses. Of course, no one is perfect, and never will be, but there is always room for improvement! What do you think is a good character trait to possess?
