Not only did the Super Pet Expo have vendors selling unique items, it also had (more importantly) worthwhile and special rescue organizations dedicated to animal welfare. All of them were especially benevolent, but the one that stuck out in my mind the most, was Pets with Disabilities.

Joyce Darrell and, her husband, Michael Dickerson founded the Pets with Disabilities organization.
This nonprofit organization provides support and information to people whose pets suffer from birth defects or have become disabled from illnesses or injuries. Thanks to Pet with Disabilities and Dewey’s Wheelchairs for Dogs, many sweet cats, dogs and other pets have been provided with the wheelchairs they need for mobility. Without this caring organization many disabled animals would not have the loving homes they have now.

If you are interested in adopting a pet with a disability, check out their website. They have dogs, cats, and even a turtlewho could use your help. Or, if you cannot make that kind of commitment, consider fostering a little guy. And, of course, donationsare always welcomed and appriciated.
Plus, they have a page full of products, like tees, canvas bags, calendars, books, stickers and more, that can help spread the word about this compassionate group of people.
This is an extraordinary organization organization for extraordinary dogs.
