Paris Fashion Week - Day 4

Fashion

Balenciaga Spring 2008
The was a truly exceptional show. The models walked down the carpeted runway with corseted tunics with high structures shoulders, or pom poms.

They all wore strappy gladiator boots, which I am sure we will see the Olsen twins wearing sometime soon.

The apparent hardness of the outfits were softened with hot pink and red floral prints.

The most surprising thing about this show is that Russian supermodel Natalia Vodianova, (left) only had a baby 3 weeks ago.

Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2008
Pirates of the Caribbean could have been the inspiration for the first half of JPG's show, as models took the the runway in Jack Sparrow inspired ensembles. Hats and jodphur's were heavily featured in this collection as were army fatigue and stripes.

The show closed with a several models wearing virginal white bride gowns. All in all very a creative collection, and very wearable.

Vikor & Rolf Spring 2008
This collection featured violin's heavily on garments and as accessories.

It has a very romantic feel to it, which I would not have expected from the design duo, as their clothes are sometimes difficult to wear. This was a very wearable collection.

The collection palette had pink in every shade from bubblegum to fuchsia, alongside whites and blacks.
